Meet the Belchertown Dental Staff
Diana, Certified Dental Assistant
Behind Diana’s quiet, thoughtful demeanor is more than 20 years of experience as a dental assistant. She consistently provides attentive care during restorative and cosmetic procedures, and our patients rely on her for their comfort during visits. She also helps Dr. M stay on task and on schedule. She enjoys working with our team to create positive experiences for patients.
Diana comes from a military family and grew up on a base when she was young. When she’s not helping us provide exceptional care, she enjoys golfing and spending time with Maddie, her poodle.
Sharon, Registered Dental Hygienist
Sharon Zacharkow, RDH, Sharon has been practicing preventative hygiene care for over 15 years with passion and great expertise. She brings a gentle and thorough touch to all her patients. She is especially inspired by calming and relaxing the dentally anxious patient. Native to Hampden County, one remarkable detail about Sharon - she has travelled to all of the following countries, Columbia, Mexico, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Ireland and Iceland.
Amy, Registered Dental Hygienist
Amy’s pride in delivering patient care and education comes naturally from her over 40 years as a Dental Assistant and Hygienist. Whether you’re coming in with your toddler, you’re a college student away from home for the first time, or you’re a patient with special needs, Amy can support your dental needs with great passion, focus, and knowledge.
Prior to dentistry, she studied theater at the University of Massachusetts. When she’s not helping her patients improve their lives, she enjoys dancing and traveling, as well as gardening at home, where she lives with her spouse, their dog Ivan, and their cat Jewel. Her bucket list includes a trip to Istanbul, Turkey... one of these days.
Lana, Dental Hygienist
With over 10 years in the dental hygiene field, Lana is thoroughly committed to helping each and every patient become healthier through dental care. Lana appreciates the dedication to exceptional dental care provided by Dr. M and our team, and the fact that our practice is committed to a positive team culture and ongoing professional education. Interesting facts about Lana: She went to Belchertown High School and grew up in Belchertown, but was born in Russia. When she is not in the office, she enjoys time with her husband and 3 kids, and cooking dishes from her native Russia.
Cynthia, Administrative Officer
Cynthia is our patient care coordinator. When there is a problem in the office, she is the go to person because of her understanding of our many established patient families. Everyday she looks forward to helping patients who come through our door. In a former life, Cynthia was an artist and a teacher. What she enjoys about working in a dental practice? The people, their stories. They come in all different shapes and sizes. Every encounter is an opportunity to grow, to learn something.
